Grip
Updated: Feb 17, 2020
The grip is where the club communicates with the hands and the hands communicate with the brain. Consistent placement of the hands affects accuracy of feedback, reducing variables. The club should rest in the fingers of both hands, not against the palms. Don't leave any spaces between the fingers or between the hands. A glove can help reduce grip tightness, as can clean golf club grips
Pay attention while practicing for consistency of pressure. Be aware of re-gripping at the top of the swing or tightening at the ball. Most grip pressure problems are symptoms not causes in themselves. Being off plane and rerouting will cause a tight grip, as will a quick a tempo.
