Winter Golf

Some people just don't like cold weather, but I love a golf course in the winter. With the right clothes you can stay warm and still swing. A down vest, short sleeve wind breaker, and mittens are my basics. Add long underwear, fleece and a beanie. Take the mittens off to hit a shot, then put the mittens back on. Don't keep your clubs in the garage. Bring them inside at night so the grips and balls won't be frozen.

The course is quiet with winter colors of tan and gold. The wind and frozen greens add extra layers to golf's challenges. I'll see you in the proshop waiting for the frost to melt.
